Music That Made The Movies

without comments

There are literally hundreds of movie soundtracks out there that have touched the hearts of millions of people, making them cry, punch the air with joy or throw their popcorn on the floor and walk out in anger but how on earth can one of those acoustic guitars really make so many different sounds? What are the best movie tracks of all time?

Wizard Of Oz

This has to be up there simply because it is the best musical ever. Technicolor certainly wasn’t a usual thing to have in a film in 1939 so for the Wizard Of OZ to be featured mostly in colour was a major victory. One of the surprising facts about this film is that when it was released it only made small profits, now it is one of the most loved films ever. How about songs like Over the Rainbow and the Yellow Brick Road, they are classics in their own right that is for sure.

Jaws

John Williams could easily have his own category on this article but Jaws has to be one of his most recognised and early pieces of work. What is funny about this one is that when Williams approached Spielberg with the tune he laughed at him but later stated that without this theme there would be no chance of this film ever succeeding.

Back To The Future

This is up there purely because I could not get enough of this film when I was younger and the music will always put me in the mood to watch the films. Although Huey Lewis and the News contributed a lot to the first movie with hits like “Back in Time”, it was Alan Silvestri that made the music in this film. It is safe to say that the films main theme is one of the most recognised in the world.

There are other films that need a mention such as Star Wars, Grease and Indiana Jones. The Secret Behind A Great Film Number? Well use a variety of instruments like drum kits and use those guitar amplifiers.
